Visa guide
Check entry rules at the source
Visa rules depend on your passport, your plans and the day you travel. SATRAM does not show eligibility, because a wrong answer can cost you a trip.
A five-step routine
- Start with the destination government. Look for the official immigration, foreign ministry or e-visa portal of the country you are visiting.
- Then check your own government’s travel advice for the destination; it summarises entry rules for your passport and flags warnings that can affect insurance.
- Check your passport. Many countries ask for six months’ validity beyond your stay and one or more blank pages.
- Confirm transit rules for every connection, not only the final destination.
- Apply early, keep copies. Save approvals offline and carry a printed copy.
Entry systems you may meet
Names change, so confirm each on an official site. Examples include the United States ESTA, the UK Electronic Travel Authorisation, the planned European ETIAS, Japan’s eVisa, Türkiye’s e-visa, India’s e-visa, and the Jordan Pass, which bundles some entry fees.
