The name
A satram (സത്രം) is a traditional resting place where travellers shelter, share a meal and trade stories before walking on. SATRAM carries that idea online: a place to pause, to dream, and to plan the next stretch of road. Read the idea in full →
How SATRAM works
- Honest about the facts. Wonders that no longer exist are labelled as such, and access details we checked are kept apart from details still pending verification.
- Credited photographs. Every photograph is licensed for reuse and credited. Captions say exactly what a photo shows. See Credits & licences.
- No invented voices. SATRAM does not publish made-up testimonials, visitor counts or first-person experiences.
- Independent. SATRAM is not affiliated with UNESCO, the New7Wonders Foundation, PADI/CEDAM, the BBC or any attraction or hotel it describes, and does not take commissions.
- Written for people. English and Malayalam, with accessibility, reduced-motion and sound controls built in.
What SATRAM is not
It is not a booking agency, a news service or a source of live prices, weather, visa eligibility or availability. The Travel Assistant answers from SATRAM’s own guides, prepared itineraries, packing lists and editable budget estimates, each labelled.
